BTGuard is a relatively small VPN that is owned by Netcrawled LLC, a company based in Canada. The VPN was started in 2008, but it hasn’t really gained a huge market share. This is probably because it offers a scaled-back service, although it still ensures security and anonymity. Still, BTGuard claims to have a very speedy network, with 10Gbit servers and unlimited download speeds. The company's focus on P2P support in particular is unusual, too, but is it enough to justify BTGuard’s network of servers are located only in three locations around the world: Singapore, Netherlands, and Canada. Jan 08, 2016 · Unfortunately, even though BTGuard is one of the older VPN clients around, it seems like their team has largely abandoned the VPN. They blatantly lie on their page about their 256-bit AES encryption, they have poor speeds, their website sucks, and they don’t even have their own software that is easy to use.

BTGuard however doesn’t offer much here, as it only has 3 servers in three countries. This is quite a small network, considering that a competitor like CyberGhost VPN offers 6400 VPN servers located in 90 countries.
